Our Mission
Empowering Parents
Our mission is to empower parents with knowledge and skills, so they can work to prevent their children from “falling through the cracks” and enable them to succeed in a regular classroom.

- To guide parents to reach a clear understanding of their child’s developmental nature and needs and assist them in providing for them both in and outside of the home.
- To provide teachers and related educational professionals with knowledge and tools to effectively educate learning diabled children within the regular classroom.
- To ensure that children with learning disabilities studying in regular-education classrooms, receive the quality education and social experiences most appropriate to their individual needs and abilities and most conducive to helping them achieve their fullest potential.
- To create, implement, and uphold standards of excellence for teachers, therapists, doctors, and other professionals offering services and assistance, to benefit children and their families, such that quality care and trusting partnerships may be automatically expected and guaranteed.

Servicing Bilingual Families
As native English speaking professionals living in Israel for over 12 years, we have an understanding and knowledge of the unique challenges faced by bilingual children with learning difficulties.
An important goal of our work is to determine when a child’s learning difficulty is an actual learning disability or academic difficulty due to weak Hebrew language skills
Too often, children with learning disabilities from non-native Hebrew speaking families go undiagnosed for long periods of time. Their difficulties in school are attributed to language deficits as immigrants and their developmental difficulties go untreated.
When a learning disability does exist, the bilingualism compounds the primary problem.
Currently we primarily service Anglo immigrant families, whose children are either immigrants or Israeli born. Our long-term goal is to expand our services to other multilingual populations, like, the Ethiopian and Russian populations, where the risk is the same and need equally great. Israel is a country which is home to Jews from many countries around the globe, speaking a myriad of languages, but whose children all study in Hebrew-speaking schools. |
