Dear Parents,
Thank you for coming to our site and taking the time to read about what we do at Partners with Parents. Now I want to take a few minutes to explain why our organization was founded.
Partners with Parents was officially launched just two years ago though it was an idea I had been toying with for many years. I was fortunate to have completed two degrees in education before becoming a parent. My training and education gave me skills that helped me handle some of the challenges I have been faced with as a parent. Yet too often I have felt alone, very much on my own, venturing into unknown territories, as I searched (and still search) for very specific and effective ways to parent and teach my two sons.
As a learning disabilities specialist with more than twelve years experience negotiating the Israeli school system, (as a professional and a parent), I decided to create Partners with Parents, to make the road a bit easier for others.
If you visited our website, then you are most likely looking for ways to help your child. You are probably not new to parenting or to the world of learning disabilities, yet you continue to search for new ways to help your child excel. I am sorry to say that we can not provide you with instant solutions. No one can!
Let’s compare parenting to losing weight. There aren’t any quick fixes or magic formulas. To become slim and stay healthy, fad diets don’t work. What does work however is a lifetime commitment to a healthy lifestyle that will yield many long term rewards.
The same is true about raising and educating children. It is especially true when you are parenting intelligent children with learning difficulties. It is a daily struggle, filled with setbacks and successes. It is a full time job, without mentors to guide you or manuals to read. What worked for your first child, may not work for your fourth. Your son at ten needs a different approach to study skills at fourteen. Your dyslexic daughter can learn to read but not by using Dick and Jane.
Partners with Parents was founded for the purpose of providing parents with a very personalized place to turn to for professional information and guidance; our way of offering you mentors and manuals.
At Partners with Parents, our model is to provide full service, accessibility, and professional teamwork to you. As we continue to grow, developing new programs and expanding our team of professionals, we aim to increase public awareness and appropriate education for children with learning disabilities, so you do not feel alone anymore.

Best wishes,
